Grandparents have gone.

Well, the Engel grandparents left this afternoon. We had a terrific time with them - John especially. He loved to sit and stare and coo and wave his arms around for his grandmother. We also had the church youth group over at our house on Friday night and we made many many batches of terrifically awesome baking treats. Then at church we sold them for many many fistfuls of dollars. We're going to use the money to put backpacks together for Operation Backpack - a terrific program here in Calgary. This doesn't have much to do with John except that the youth loved visiting with him and holding him at church and at our house too. He wasn't quite sure what to do with all the noise and commotion - it made him a bit fussy but he slept well that night :-) Since I don't have many new pictures for you, here's a video of him sucking on my finger with an intense expression on his face. Amy noticed early on that he really likes to suck on something - even if there's no nourishment in it. We used our fingers for a while and now we have about four soothers scattered around the house which we use instead.
