Last baby class

Well, tonight is our last pre/post natal class. We signed up for a 'birth and babies' class offered through the Calgary health region - it starts before the babies are due and then is scheduled to finish up after. The course covers more than just labour and delivery - it's supposed to help with the first few weeks after the baby is born. We've really enjoyed it and would highly recommend it. Tonight's class is on 'baby massage' and there's also a mini-potluck with everyone bringing snacks. I think we were the last people in our course to have a baby - so it was really interesting to hear all the stories from the people who went before us. The second-last couple was actually in the same hospital as us when Amy was in labour. They ended up bumping us from the queue for a delivery room because they had an extra centimetre of dialation :-) Their boy was born about 4 hours before John and Amy got to see them in the hospital the next morning which was really cool.

John: It's sure fun seeing your pictures and reading the updates. We can tell you are advanced. Great we can 'see' you before we see you.
