- visiting with John's great-aunties and uncles
- getting attention 24/7 (and the behaviour problems that ensued)
- eating Mennonite food (mostly white flour and deep fried - vegetables? What are those?)
- setting up his jolly jumper in "the forest"
- playing with Bernie (Grandma and Grandpa's puppy who is almost exactly the same age as John)
- John having his mom's attention for the entire ride home on the bus

Jolly Jumping in the trees? You guys are the best parents ever, mine just tied me to a tree then watched me run to the end of the rope and flip over.

Would you recommend tying the rope to his ankles or around the forehead?
Definitely the forehead, the body gets more air that way.
