Amy's last post??? Likely not

Hello all. First, here are some pictures from the last while. They contain some pictures of John's first haircut (yes, I know, I was going to wait until people started asking me what my little girl's name was, but I caved in to pressure). He sat very nicely while Grandma Engel worked her magic. It was most traumatic for mommy, but I have to admit, it's a bit easier to look after. In other news, I am a week and a half from my due date. The baby still has not dropped, but the doctor says that could even happen the day I go into labour. I was proud of myself at weigh-in - I gained five pounds in ten days! I've been trying to bulk up a bit so I don't have to eat so much after this baby comes (I was perpetually hungry in the first few months with John), but even this was more than I expected. It also puts me within two pounds of what I weighed with John at this point. Kind of interesting. Looking at my to-do list, there is nothing really urgent to get done before baby comes. I just want to do some cleaning if I can, as I know things will not be thoroughly cleaned for a long time. My friend, Leslie, says I'm in full nesting mode :) I guess that's pretty much true. Anyway, I'm feeling good, our basement is progressing (only two more little walls to frame and then on to a bit more fiddly work), John's in swimming lessons this week (something to force me out of the house), and we're excited for baby to come. The next pictures you see here will likely include a little eight-pound boy (no, we don't know anything, but that's my feeling. Anyone else like to venture a guess???) Until then...Amy
