Our May

Hi again.  I've got some pictures for you from the last month, as well as some videos!  Cam showed me how to upload videos again, so hopefully I'll catch you up on a few of our favourite videos from the last few months when I get a chance.  For now, here's what we have:

Any exciting happenings around the house?  At this moment, John, Micah and I are all on antibiotics - the boys for strep and me for feeling horrible for a full week without getting better (yes, I'm complaining - but, Cam took such good care of us all that I really shouldn't).  So, we're all feeling much better now, and showed it by dusting and making cookies.  Hooray!

David is getting nice and fat, and is so jolly most of the time.  He's three months old tomorrow, and it seems like he's so understandable.  I remember thinking with the other two "I wish they could talk for just ten minutes so I could figure out what they're trying to tell me", but with David it seems like I know.  For now, anyway.

Soccer is going pretty well for the boys.  Micah gets a bit bored and frustrated sometimes because he actually has an awareness of what is supposed to happen and most of the other kids don't (he plays with three and four year olds).  His coach told me "Micah's the only one on the team that actually knows which goal to score on."  He kind of gives up when the other kids are sitting on the ball or picking it up, but for the most part he enjoys it and is excited when he scores.

John is doing well, too.  He enjoys being in net, even when he's not in net.   He'll run alongside the ball for a long time just so he can stop it close to the net :)  We'll work on defense later, I guess.

Our trip to Europe is coming up and the boys have just finished their "research paper" on some of the places we'll be going to.  John was so excited to print it off today and staple it together.  Here are a few facts the boys put together:

On Germany:
Micah:  Ballistic missiles were invented in Germany.  I want a ballistic missile jet.
John: In Germany in some toilets you will see a sign that has a picture of a man standing while peeing with an x through it because they don't want you to do it in some bathrooms in Germany.  It says you have to pee sitting down.

On Paris:
John: "Nems" are Vietnamese spring rolls; "barbe a papa" means "dad's beard" which means cotton cnady because cotton candy looks like a dad's beard.

Enough for now.  Have a lovely weekend!

Amy
