The last of the Euro Pics

Here they are!!!  It's taken almost two weeks, but there are 99 pics to look at, so hopefully quantity makes up for the delay.

Highlights of the trip?  Hanging out with family, seeing old friends from Yemen, (for Amy) seeing the Sistine Chapel, (for the boys) the Coloseum, the immaculate German countryside, having Dad Epp make popcorn almost every night in Italy, having the boys decide to stay in our vehicle because "all Uncle Kerrie does is drive", going inside a Concord in Stuttgart, being completely ridiculous in Salzburg as we tried to re-enact the Sound of Music, and then realizing that other people were doing the exact same thing (we actually had to stand in line to take a picture of us on the Do-Re-Mi steps), having David achieve a developmental milestone in Italy (rolling over from back to front), hearing someone talking about how the Germans could fix a problem and having John reply "yeah, they're very inventive", looking at something amazing in Rome and realizing as we turned to go that everyone was completely ignoring something else amazing behind us ("not worth my time" became our phrase), having the boys excited to go see stuff because we'd looked it up before we went... Those are just a few.

Hardest part?  That David hated his car seat.  Absolutely detested it.  I spent a lot of time waving things in the air, singing songs, rubbing toes, holding angry little hands, and then just putting my cheek on his little cheek wet with tears. That was especially hard in the last two weeks when we were doing a lot more driving.  But, he cheered up as soon as we got out of the vehicle, so we were able to enjoy the rest of the trip.

I've got more pics from the last few weeks of my sweet boys.  In David news, he got his second round of immunizations yesterday and weighed in at 16 lb 11 oz.  He doesn't seem huge to me, but his weight was just below the 90th percentile, his length just below the 75th, and his head circumference was above the 97th!!!  They remeasured his head three times because if it was much bigger they would have had to send a note to the doctor to have her check up on it.  Ah, the Engel brains do take up a bit of room ;)

David loves his jolly jumper.  Two days ago he spent an hour in it before I finally took him out.  Today he was starting to fall asleep in it.  It's so fun to watch him jump.

Cam was in Texas this past week, and the boys and I survived.  It wasn't as crazy a trip for Cam this time, so he didn't come back completely exhausted like he usually does.

That pretty much gets you up-to-date.  We'll keep you posted on summer fun in the weeks to come.
