Life continues

We've had a busy second week of life so far - walking, visiting, playing and burping (see link for pics :-) Today we went to the doctor with John because he was having trouble breathing - really labouring and it sounded rough - wheezing and whistling. We called the Calgary Early-Start line and they recommended we take him in, so we did. Of course after we make the appointment he starts breathing much easier and by the time we get to the doctor he's fast asleep and happy. Apparently he wasn't having real problems - his nose/sinuses were just a bit plugged. We're dropping saline water in and fishing out whatever boogers we can see - and it makes quite a bit of difference. What suffering - he can't even blow his own nose. :-) We're thinking he might have a bit of a cold - his sneezing has increased and there's a little bit of coughing now and then. It just sounds so rough when he's wheezing and you can hear the mucus in his sinuses. Apparently babies don't really go for breathing through the mouth - who knew? So, if the nose is plugged, it's tough. So anyways, I'm sure this won't be the last time that we go to the doctor for something that's not a big deal :-) Have a terrific evening, Cam
