Happy 6-month birthday to John!

Today was John's 6 month birthday. Very exciting. He had rice and oat cereals - two meals worth - and had an OK day. Maybe he misses his Engel grandparents (who were here over the weekend) because he was a bit fussy. Or maybe he's finally starting to teethe (although this has been predicted many times before :-). Tonight he also sleeps in his own room for the first time! We think this will help Amy and I not wake him up so much when we go to bed. We'll see how he likes it - he went to sleep OK tonight. Next weekend we're going to Lloydminster for Amy's Karate grading, so that will be fun. We're going to stay with our cousins who are scattered all over between Edmonton and Saskatoon. Poops have been regular and gross since the last post (when he was awarded the Poo Champion shirt). I hope that none of you ever have to go 154 hours without a bowel movement (or at least - if you do - that it's as delightful an experience as John had). In other news, Amy weighed him at the Health Centre and he weighs 18lb, 7.25oz (or 8.4kg if you use non-archaic measurements). He's also about 28 inches long (71cm) so we'll need a new car seat soon.
