Weekend trip

Last weekend we went to Lloydminster for Amy's karate grading. She is now the highest level of brown belt in her style (assuming she passes the grading)- so theoretically she's 'working on her black belt'. We stopped and visited Cam's cousins Carmella and Evert in Tofield, had supper with Amy's cousins Allison and Jason in Lloyd, and stayed with more of Amy's cousins Jason and Danielle in Wainwright. It was a good trip - lots of fun people. The country south of Wainwright (on our way home) was extremely beautiful - lovely trees everywhere. John did great. He was a bit fussy in the car on the way home, but not too bad. He went to bed at reasonable times and didn't wake up in the night any more than he does at home. His poo has sure become more gross and smelly with the advent of new food. We have tried a few different things so far - rice and oatmeal cereals, apples, bananas, squash, and I think that sweet potatoes will be next. Amy's at the doctor with him this morning for a checkup, and I'm working from home today and tomorrow. Wednesday we go to Halifax. It's my birthday and Amy used her aeroplan miles to book us a flight to eastern Canada. We've never been, so we're quite excited. We should be back next Monday.
