And back to regular life

Sorry for the long absence. We've had a busy time of it. Auntie Shayna came up for a visit before school starts for her again, and ended up taking John and me home with her. We stopped briefly in Lethbridge, visiting Oma Epp for supper, and then made our way home to Saskatchewan. John and his mom loved the farm. The currants were perfect for picking (and eating - John was very regular during his visit), the apples were delicious, and the weather was pretty good. We discovered John understands a lot more than we thought. He definitely knows the words "light," "button", "kitty", and "kiss", and we're not sure what else he knows. It was cool to see him respond by pointing when we'd ask him a question. He also had his first tractor ride. Grandpa Engel was busy with harvest the whole time, but we made a few visits to the field and John hopped on the tractor for a round of combining. Those pictures are on Grandma Engel's camera - I'll try to get those later. Anyway, here are a few pictures of the last couple of weeks.
