Promised Videos

Let's start with these:
  1. Twinkle, Twinkle, plus a little nose picking.
  2. Better than those counting horses.
  3. John is so smart he's already spelling.
  4. One night, the funniest thing you could do was throw grapes in the air and catch them in your mouth.
  5. Dancing with Dad.
  6. Jumping Johnny.
  7. Back to our weekend in early March: Auntie Shayna is dubbed "World's Funniest Woman" by John.

In other news, John has started potty training himself. Five days ago he stopped what he was doing and said "pooping". I took him up to his potty, set him down on it, and he actually tried to poop (apparently it wasn't the right time, because his facial expression was telling me that he was REALLY TRYING). Since then, he has peed several times on his potty, and even on the big toilet once when we were out. Most times he tells us when he wants to go, but I've started putting him on before bed, naps, and baths. It's kind of fun and he's so proud when he can see what he's done :) I was talking to a friend and we decided we are going to start handing adults candies when they come out of the bathroom, just because we all need a little encouragement.

Also, John said "I love you, Daddy" all by himself today, and then again when Cam came home from work. Of course, he wouldn't say "I love you, MOMMY"... hmmm....after all I've done for him... ;)

Finally, we're pet sitting for the next two weeks, which is basically heaven for John. All he wants to do is chase the cat around the house. He's usually very gentle, although I did catch him trying to lay on top of the cat about five minutes ago. The first day we had Charlie we had a moment of concern where we couldn't find either John or the cat in our house. We were standing in John's room wondering where they could be when we heard a clunk under the bed. Sure enough, John and the cat were laying down together under the bed.

Have a good rest of the week.

Amy
