Sad and lonely

Well, Amy and John have gone to Saskatchewan with Shayna to visit her family (mostly Craig who lives in Carlisle (not sure if that's how to spell it)) and so I'm home alone. I've had Saralee and her friends over for a couple nights, but today they leave and so I really need people to invite me out for supper (just kidding, I love sandwiches :-) In John related news, he had the runs for 4 or 5 days after puking but brave Amy and Shayna took him on a long car trip anyway. They were going to stop at a hospital in Swift Current, but the problems seem to have cleared themselves up. Once Amy and John get home, we'll be here in Calgary for a week and then we're heading off to England! I found out that I have to use up my holidays extra early this year and we found some cheap(ish) tickets to England - so it seemed like a good time to go visit my parents. They will be in the middle of a huge work conference when we arrive (announcing a new name and branding for their team), so we'll try to stay out of the way and recover quietly from jet lag :-). John's never flown overseas before and so we are looking forward to the flights and jet lag with a mix of excitement and more than a little trepidation. Several of our kind 'friends' are telling us that it will be hellish (though other 'friends' say it's not so bad :-). Anyhoo - barring an unforseen act of God, we'll be on the plane May 9th!
