Yeehaw!!

In spite of my dislike of Stampede time, John and I ventured out with our friend, Mel, for a morning of fun. It was kids day, so we got there around 7:30 am and got in free (as opposed to signing over the deed to our house like they usually charge), plus got in fairly quickly for the free breakfast - second breakfast for all three of us, but we had nothing else to do. John didn't like it at first because it was a little overwhelming - tons of people and lots of noise. But he started seeing mascots, and all that changed. He became a stalker for a pig carrying a chicken under his arm and gave him about a thousand hugs. After we managed to drag John away we headed over to the livestock a bit, got some mini-donuts, and headed in to the "Superdogs" (dogs that do all sorts of tricks). At first I thought John wasn't very interested, but then I realized that he'd been holding on to the same two mini-donuts for about 15 minutes without eating them - that's kind of huge :) Anyway, here are some fun pictures from our adventure. Have a great weekend.
