The last month

I'm just going to stop apologizing for not posting more often. Instead, I will instigate an every-six-weeks-if-you're-lucky plan ;) In other news, John broke his arm last night while goofing around on the bed with his dad. It was very sad, but the happy things are that we didn't have to wait long in emergency at the children's hospital (Cam took him while I stayed home with Micah), and that John seems to be coping really well. He's been quite cheery today, and hasn't really needed much of the codeine we were given - I've only given him two doses today. Otherwise, John is still incredibly smart and cute, and Micah is progressing much faster than expected for his age. Of course, you all expect that by now ;) Is so good at rolling over from tummy to back that we are unable to give him the tummy time necessary to promote crawling, but he'll get there eventually. He's sitting up with help, standing with lots of help (but really likes it), and has finally figured out the jolly jumper. Just in the last couple of days he has started jumping in it as opposed to just twirling around. We also gave him a quick taste of solid food (an avacado) just before his Epp grandparents returned to the UK, but have decided to hold off until later. He doesn't seem upset. A friend of mine suggested that's because we started with an avacado and he's decided solid food isn't all that great. Besides being winged, John is just turning into a real little man. He has figured out how to set the timer on the microwave, so every activity we do has a time limit. He loves to run around in circles, which is great considering the small size of our house. He is doing really well with potty training and often goes a whole day in the same underwear or pull-ups. I didn't realize it's such a slow process, but now that my mind is reset to reality, I'm quite proud (surprise!) with how he's doing. That's about all for now. We don't have any pics from February on the computer yet, but here are some from the last half of January.

The broken arm was likely as much a shock to Cam as to John. Cam must have handled it well to leave John with this little trauma.
Congratulations to Shayna.
