Some exciting things

I'm sure you all know by now that we have the greatest kids in the world. Today we were driving downtown (to a wart doctor appointment) and John looks out the window and says "O P E N spells open.... 'Now Open'"! There was a 'now open' sign outside the car window and I guess he recognized the letters :-) He asks us all the time how to spell words, and asks 'what does _ _ _ _ spell?' Micah is on pace to be walking before he crawls. He's taken a couple very staggery steps on his own now - on two different occasions. So... that's kind of fun. He loves to walk around holding onto our fingers. Both of the kids and I are feeling quite sorry for ourselves because we are all sick. The boys and I have been sick for a couple weeks now. I've progressed through a streppy throat to a chest cough to a sinus infection and a fever. Micah and John have both gone through some general 'cold' (whiney and sad and tired) to coughing fits, to fevers, then back to a cold (they were getting better) and now they're back to coughing like crazy again. It's so sad when they cough so hard that they retch. John threw up his supper one day because he was coughing so hard. And the coughing wakes us all up at night and the poor kids cry. You feel so bad for them because they don't know what to do or say or how to tell you what hurts. Anyway, Amy has a great doctor and she's taken the kids several times now. John is on antibiotics and both of the kids are on a puffer (a bronchiodialator inhaler like ventolin). You can pray for Amy too since she bears the brunt of us all being sick. She's doing an incredible job of keeping up with us and taking extremely good care of us. She's amazing. I mostly sit around and feel sorry for myself (I actually abandoned her last weekend - Mother's Day! - to go play airsoft in Saskatchewan :-) Have a great evening - Cam for the Epps.
