This is the blog of John and Micah and David Epp. They are all very advanced for their ages, so you might want to check this regularly to see what they are up to.

The Follow-Up
Hi everyone. Hope you enjoyed the pictures. Micah's birthday was a lot of fun. I ended up being a true Mennonite and had about four times more food than we needed (I guess I did ask God to multiply it so we wouldn't run out). I ended up sending home our last guests with fruit goody bags. Shayna declined the fruit and took a bunch of leftover breakfast sausages and a couple of pancakes in a ziploc. She plans to pour some syrup in the bag and then just shake it up :)
The cake - I explained to Sandra that it looked way cooler in the magazine, and I thought it was very doable. Hmm...perhaps not. We used toothpicks as anchors, but it still tipped over during the night. We just left things as they fell, and tried to reinforce just before singing Happy Birthday. Then we didn't have the glue properties of the icing anymore, so it was a real disaster. Very funny, though.
In other news, Micah can say "ball" and "up" for sure. There are a bunch of other things we think he's saying, but aren't quite sure. He pants when he sees a dog, says "bup" when he hits something for fun, and has started making a buzzing noise when we read about bees. He turns around in a circle when music plays (and when his new train starts making noise - he thinks it's music, too). He loves reading, and will grab a book, stand in front of us, and back into our laps. He loves to sit on things, and think it's hilarious to walk over to the stairs in the basement and plunk himself down on the bottom step. He and John play a game called "Pass and Scream", involving running past each other in the hallway and screaming when they get close to each other, and then turning around and doing it again.
That's a little glimpse of my sweet one year old. Hope you enjoy the rest of your week.

Wow, Micah sounds so much like Noah! The whole backing up onto your lap and sitting on anything that resembles a step. I hope we get to meet him soon. Lots of love to you all from us all in the UK.
Kim
I want to play "Pass and Scream," too!
