Hello everyone! Instead of doing a few thousand other things that need doing, I decided to sit down and upload pictures for your viewing enjoyment. Aren't you lucky?
We had a great holiday, starting with a family reunion at the farm and moving on to a road trip with Cam's family (we were only missing Daniel and Jarred). In eighteen days we spent over 72 hours on the road, meaning we averaged four hours of driving each day. Crazy!! But, the kids did well, and the views were spectacular. On the last walk of one day, a wiped-out Micah said "There's just a beautiful view. I'm tired of beautiful views."
We have done the laundry, and the house is sort of whipped back into it's usual condition. We're gearing up for another camping weekend, but trying to get ready for school at the same time. I think we're almost there. We just need to pick up lunch and snack supplies and then I think we're ready to go.
And now a few random fun kid things:

And now a few random fun kid things:
- In the words of Trevor, we have someone managed to "get rid of all of David's inhibitions." David would just take off when we were at the pool and throw himself in wherever he felt like it. There was no waiting for someone to catch him. We have to watch him like a hawk when we're around water.
- John and Micah had fun blowing their vacation money ($20 each) on random things during the trip. Some things they got were: polished stones, UFO driver's licenses, a collectors pin, some fridge magnets, "gold medals" from Park City, bottles of pop, and weird candies. They managed to make it last to the very end of the trip.
- David is learning a ridiculous number of new words. Just over the trip he seemed to be learning so much.
- Micah LOVES babies. He had so much fun "looking after" Aiden and playing with Layla.
- I started cutting the tangled bits off of David's hair, and hope to transition it to a full-blown hair cut. Not sure how many Wubbzy videos this is going to take, but I'm hoping to shape it so it doesn't look ridiculous when we stop for the day.
- David is also getting dangerous when he has no diaper on. As soon as it comes off he wants to try out his newly discovered control over peeing and pooping. I've started telling him he gets to go on the toilet just so he'll wait and not cover himself (and me, and the change table, and the carpet) with pee.
- I picked out a couple of beach towels while shopping today and gave one each to John and Micah. David looked at the towels, looked and the boys, and looked at me. I asked "Did you want one too?" He nodded so I picked one out for him, too, and he hugged it the rest of the way through the store and said "towel" to anyone who passed by. I guess I can't leave him out anymore.
That's about it. Time for bed. Have a great weekend, everyone!
Amy
