A Birthday, Halloween, and the Stairs

Here are the promised videos - I (Amy) started uploading them about 4 days ago, but it kept messing up. Sorry for the delay.

1. John tries on his Halloween costume. We were going to go with the awesome spiderman costume that Uncle Kerrie and Auntie Shayna got him, but Grandma Engel brought up the costume John's mom wore when she was one, so we had to use it.
2. John discovered his mom's belly button and decided it was delicious. His mom thought it was hilarious, so she let him :S Then John discovered that if he blew on his mom's tummy, something interesting happened...
3. John knows how to make the sounds of a few animals now: horse, cat, and cow. Here's him displaying some of his mad skilz.
4. It didn't take very long for John to figure out how to go up and down stairs. We're still not totally comfortable with his stability so we don't let him do it unsupervised, but we think that's right around the corner.
5. John's birthday party was a blast. He pranced around like he actually knew it was for him (though, I guess he thinks everything is about him). Here's him getting ready for cake.
6. John wasn't totally thrilled with the cake (but the rest of us were), but his first ice cream cone with Grandpa Engel was very well received.
7. Auntie Saralee stopped by for a quick visit and helped John open his present from Grandpa and Grandma Epp (it's cool - Grandma is so creative).
